Also a short drive away is the historic town of Richmond, explore the cobbled market square or head up towards Richmond Castle for a slice of Yorkshire history. The charming town of Barnard Castle with Bowes Museum is worth a visit, and there s a historic castle here to explore too. There s also a fantastic Spa a short drive down the road for those looking to relax. You will enter the property into the hallway, offering space for coats and shoes. At the heart of the home is the cosy lounge, complete with a wood burner and comfy sofa to snuggle up on in front of the Smart TV or curl up on one of two armchairs by the wood burner with a good book and listen to your favourite music through the Bluetooth speaker. The spacious Kitchen/diner is on a split level just 2 steps down to the rear of the cottage. The kitchen area is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. You ll find everything you need here to cook up a scrumptious meal. The dining area with its cosy seating is perfect for family and friends to gather round for a lazy breakfast, planning the day ahead. Leading off from the lounge you will find the two bedrooms, one super king size zip and link (which can be made up as a twin on request) and one king size. Following on from the bedrooms is the lovely bathroom consisting of a bath, separate shower and WC. Next to this is a small hallway, the perfect place for muddy boots and shoes, and off from here is a shower room with shower and WC. Alongside the house is a separate snug, a fabulous place for kids or adults to escape, complete with large sofa, Smart TV and books and games to keep everyone entertained. There s even a kitchenette here with a fridge, for storing a bottle of prosecco or two. Heading outside to the decked area you will find outdoor seating, a charcoal BBQ and the wood burning hot tub, ideal for whiling away the evening and taking in the fabulous views. If you want to stretch your legs, take a walk through the woodland down to the lake and soak up the nature. There is off road parking for two cars available.
