Nestled on the outskirts of Allerton in North Yorkshire, is this stunning two-bedroom lodge, Eagles Peak. Boasting a superb location on the outskirts of the North York Moors National Park and easy access to the beautiful coast, Eagles Peak is the perfect base for couples or a family of four looking to explore North Yorkshire. Be welcomed into the contemporary open-plan living space, featuring high ceilings, beam work and floor-to-ceiling windows which allow the natural light to flow in. Here you can look forward to conjuring up flavourful feasts for your loved ones in the well-equipped kitchen, with handy dishwasher for those fuss-free clean-ups, ready to savour at the dining table for four or alfresco out on your private decking. After dinner, why not indulge in a dip in the bubbling hot tub as you soak up the fabulous surrounding views on offer. As the evening grows darker, curl up on the plush seating in the sitting room and select a much-loved film from the Smart TV, as the woodburning stove crackles nearby. Pop the days clothes in the convenient washer/dryer before enjoying a soothing soak in the gorgeous freestanding bath or refreshing rinse in the shower. Catch your rest in one of two well-appointed bedrooms, a stylish mezzanine king-size with Velux window and a ground-floor king-size, ahead of a day of adventure. In the local village you will find the welcoming Cayley Arms just a stone’s throw away, here you can treat your loved ones to a delicious meal, the perfect excuse for taking a night off from the kitchen! Just a short drive away is Thornton-Le-Dale, where you will find a wider selection of amenities, including a well-stocked convenience store and the charming Lavenders Tea Rooms where you can pick-up a sweet treat whether you are dining in or taking away. Pickering rests nearby and is home to a grand 13th-century castle and the impressive North Yorkshire Moors Railway, where you can hop aboard a vintage steam train and experience the breath-taking scenery of the moors for 18-miles. In the National Park you can tackle the peaks of Ingleby Incline and The Wainstones, visit Cawthorn Roman Camp, tour the historic Mount Grace Priory or take an adventure through the treetops at Go Ape in Dalby Forest. Take the scenic drive over to Scarborough, where you can enjoy the thrills of Luna Park and Alpamare, history at the remarkable Scarborough Castle or a day at the beach bathing or trying your hand at canoeing or kayaking. Other attractions include the scenic Cleveland Way, the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Peasholm Park and The Cinder Track which leads to Whitby. All this and more awaits with a stay at Eagles Peak.
