This is a beautiful 1750’s terraced cottage in the peaceful, rural hamlet of Pury End, just over 2 miles to Towcester in Northamptonshire. This stone and brick cottage has been lovingly restored by the present owners to make a really comfortable cottage for holiday makers, visitors, workers, families and friends. Within 5 miles is Silverstone Circuit where the British Grand Prix is held along with driving experiences and other events. The flourishing and vibrant market town of Towcester has many shops, bars, restaurants and a local brewery. Just over 12 miles is the market town of Northampton where there are many high street shops, bars and restaurants, three theatres and museums. Also 13 miles away, you will find the Heart of The Shires shopping village where you will discover many independent retailers and fantastic tea rooms.
Milton Keynes, approximately 11 miles away, has a large shopping centre, theatre, many leisure areas including Xscape which boasts an indoor ski slope, indoor skydiving experience and cinema, watersports at Willen Lake, high ropes course, ice skating, indoor and outdoor crazy golf course and football stadium. The nearby villages of Blisworth, Bugbrooke, Milton Malsor, Stoke Bruerne and Kislingbury are all within a 5-mile radius. There are many National Trust properties in the area including Canons Ashby, Stowe Gardens and Buckingham Chantry Chapel. Other historic houses close by are Castle Ashby, Althorpe House, Princess Diana’s final resting place, Rockingham Castle, Sulgrave Manor, Broughton Castle and Cottesbrooke Hall and Gardens. Further afield you can visit the historic university city of Oxford, take a drive through the beautiful towns and villages in the Cotswolds, or visit Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon.
