With its picture perfect backdrop where the River Aln meets the coast, Alnmouth is one of Northumberland s real gems. The property is in the heart of the village, just moments from the peaceful estuary where colourful boats bob on the water and the golden, sandy beach. In addition to vibrant pubs and cosy bistros, Alnmouth is home to an idyllic, nine hole golf course (one of England s oldest), while just upriver in Alnwick history aficionados and Harry Potter fans will love the magnificent castle. South of Alnmouth is Warkworth with its medieval castle, and the fishing village of Amble, departure point for unforgettable boat trips to view the birds (think terns, puffins and kittiwakes) and seals on Coquet Island. You enter through your own front door into a spacious, well equipped kitchen, which includes a dishwasher, washer/dryer, wine fridge, retro style fridge, with freezer compartment, electric over and hob, microwave and breakfast bar with two stools for observing the chef close up! A church pew provides additional seating. The lounge is bathed in light that streams through the feature windows to illuminate an elegant area dominated by sumptuous leather seating an L shaped sofa, a two seater sofa and an armchair and a dining table seating six. Stairs lead up to three good sized bedrooms, each with wardrobes: a master king with TV, en suite shower room and WC; a twin with TV; and a third room featuring a double bed with single over. The large bathroom includes a shower over the bath plus a WC. Outdoors, a small children s playground two minutes walk away will delight younger visitors, while there is private, allocated parked for one car, with spaces for up to four more cars on a first come, first served basis. There is also a small seating area at the top of the drive outside the main house that guests may use, which overlooks the estuary. Property situated at the top of a steep hill.
