Cross the causeway to St. Mary s Island (3 miles) for a tour of the lighthouse and look out for resting seals. North Shields famous fish market and restaurant area is a must for seafood via a wonderful walk from the Collingwood Monument, or you can spot dolphins at the mouth of the Tyne. Step into this beautiful, modern seaside holiday home where the underfloor heating on the ground floor offers a warm and toasty welcome. Store your outdoor clothing and shoes in the hallway cupboard and head into the bright spacious kitchen/diner with lovely sea views to the front and access to the rear garden through the French doors. For dining in, the fully equipped kitchen includes a built in electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, Tassimo coffee machine, dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. The large dining table can seat up to ten guests for sociable meals together and there is a Smart TV for entertainment. Sit on a barstool at the kitchen island for breakfast and plan the day. There is also a downstairs WC. After dinner, wander up to the first floor to the lounge and relax on the two comfortable sofas, one of which is a sofa bed for an additional couple. There s a captain s swivel chair here as well so sit back and take in the views or perhaps use the binoculars to do a bit of bird watching, before re joining the group to listen to some music or watch the Smart TV. There is one double bedroom on this floor with open hanging space and a chest of drawers for your clothing and the family bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. There are three more bedrooms on the second floor: one with a double bed, wardrobe, sea views and en suite shower and WC; the other double bedroom has dual aspect windows offering amazing sea views and a chest of drawers, and the fourth bedroom overlooks the garden and has a double bed. This room also has plenty of storage, a Smart TV and a Nintendo Wii with games. There is a comfortable swivel chair on the landing where you can sit quietly and gaze out to sea enjoying the ever changing seascape. Outside, head out through the French doors to the enclosed, patio garden and spend some time relaxing in the eight seater hot tub. There is also a BBQ and garden furniture, just perfect for al fresco dining and drinks. There is a bistro table and two chairs on the front patio where you can sit and watch the runners and cyclists go by while you sip your morning coffee. There is off road parking for two cars in allocated bays.
