Town: Located between Morpeth and Alnwick, in rural Northumberland, is the quaint village of Felton. 10 miles away is Alnwick, with its Castle and now-famous Garden, which features Europe's largest cascading water feature, an enormous tree house, a rose garden, and an ornamental walled garden. The village has a shop with a post office, coffee shop, pub, and restaurant. The castle is also well-known for its role as Hogwarts in the "Harry Potter" film series. Nearby attractions include miles of sandy beaches, dozens of castles, and boat trips to the world-famous Farne Islands, and Alnwick itself has a nice selection of shops, pubs, and restaurants. All in all, it's a great base from which to discover Northumberland and its breathtaking Heritage Coast.
