This delightful cottage enjoys one of the most enviable locations in Northumberland, right on the beach and promenade. From here you can see, and even walk to, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. You can also walk the 10 mile coastal path all the way down to Creswell beach stopping for a few refreshments on the way, of course. Berwick upon Tweed is nearby and offers a host of activities, shops, pubs and a fantastic beach. A little further afield, you can explore the Cheviot Hills, the Northumberland National Park's Dark Skies, the historic castles at Alnwick, Warkworth and Bamburgh, enjoy boat trips to the Farne Islands and Coquet Island, or head to vibrant cities including Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh. On entering this lovely and spacious holiday cottage you will find yourself in the light and airy open plan lounge/diner. Tastefully furnished, with comfy seating, wood burner, feature fireplace, TV, DVD, iPod dock and CD/radio, the bright and welcoming lounge is an ideal space to relax in and enjoy the views of the sea through the large bay windows. The room also features a large telescope for spotting sea birds or for stargazing. You will also find an elegant dining area with plenty of seating where you can enjoy a meal in style. Double doors lead you into the attractively designed kitchen, which is fully equipped with a 6 ring range style oven with extractor fan, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, toaster, coffee machine and cafetiere. There is also a downstairsWC. Heading up to the first floor you will find two comfortable bedrooms. There s a double room with a TV and a large bay window offering fabulous sea views, and there s a cosy twin room. You will also find a bathroom complete with a large, free standing bath, a separate corner shower cubicle, and a WC. Going up to the second floor, you will find the third bedroom, a light and spacious room with a double bed and a comfortable day bed for a 7th guest. The room also features a Juliet balcony and excellent sea and beach views. It also has an en suite shower room, which is a couple of steps down, and features a walk in shower and WC. Stepping outside, you can sit back and relax in the enclosed patio area with seating to the rear from the kitchen which is a real sun trap on a warm day. Meanwhile, the lovely garden to the front leads you straight onto the beach promenade. There is off road parking available for two cars on the hard standing in front of the rear garden, plus you can park an additional car in front of the patio area at the rear of the cottage.
