Clarborough 0.7 miles. Settled within the owner's beautiful orchard is this unique glamping hut, offering an eco-friendly romantic retreat for two in the Nottinghamshire countryside. Bramley Orchard Glamping lies in the village of Hayton, near to the village of Clarborough and the bustling market town of Retford, providing a wonderful base for outdoor adventures beginning from your doorstep. Take in the charming exterior of its timber frame, passing the pretty bistro set on the veranda and the butchers block home to the induction hob, before entering the open-plan living space. A traditional woodburning stove sits in the heart of the property offering plenty of heat for cool winter nights, along with electric heaters for added warmth, with a sofa bed to the right which transforms into a king-size pull-out bed. The pretty kitchenette sideboard has a sink and small fridge, while the delightful folding dining table and chairs is perfect for romantic meals for two. The shower room features crisp, white Victorian tiling in the shower, a beautiful copper tap over the basin, and an industrial style copper heated towel rail. Several clever storage areas have been built into this timber frame, with a lockable shed for bike and luggage storage accessed externally, and a separate log store for all your fuel supplies. Spend summer evenings out on your veranda tucking into a tasty meal whipped up using the essential appliances at hand, or gather around the firepit to keep warm while you stargaze. In the mornings, wake up to the sounds of birds and local wildlife before walking out to the mound in the orchard, climbing to the top and enjoying the glimpses of the surrounding countryside. Plenty of walks can be enjoyed right from your doorstep, with circular routes taking you out of Hayton and around Clarborough along the Chesterfield Canal, widely recognised as one of the most beautiful and varied waterways in England, the canal is highly popular with walkers and has some of the best canal fishing in the country. Or take your bikes out and enjoy a longer route, soaking up the scenery of Nottinghamshire's countryside. Find the Idle Valley Nature Reserve just a walk away; Home to a network of lakes, wetland and grassland, this Site of Special Scientific Interest is home to a vast range of wildlife and is recognised as one of the richest birding sites in the region. Admire the beautiful Traquair Murals at St Peter's Church in Clayworth, whilst Gainsborough Old Hall is also well worth a visit - Built in 1460 the hall is one of the best preserved medieval manor houses in England. Venture into the town of Retford to sample the lovely restaurants, cafés and pubs before visiting the Bassetlaw Museum, the luscious Kings Park, and the Majestic Theatre. The National Trust's Clumber Park is a beautiful spot for a picnic with a scenic lake, woodland walks and a Gothic chapel here, while the famous Sherwood Forest is another fantastic walking spot, home to The Major Oak, a huge English oak tree, and setting for the legend of Robin Hood. Enjoy getting to know this lovely area of the East Midlands with your loved one during a romantic break to Bramley Orchard Glamping.
