After a walk through the woods, hire your bicycles at Sherwood Pines Country Park just 6 miles away. With a selection of trails of varying difficulty, you could spend your entire holiday exploring on bikes here. National Trust Clumber Park, 7.5 miles away, is a beautiful expanse of parkland, heath, and woods covering more than 3,800 acres. It is home to beautiful lakeside walks, a kitchen garden, a playpark, and cafes and shops to enjoy. Thoresby Estate is within 2.5 miles and offers events throughout the year. On entrance into the lodge, make yourself at home in the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Put your feet up on the comfy sofas and curl up with a good book or watch something on the nearby Smart TV. There is an electric wood burner effect fire, which makes it nice and cosy during the cooler months. Rustle up a meal in the kitchen which offers an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. Come together around the nearby dining table to enjoy a holiday meal; open the patio doors and let the fresh air and sounds of the forest into the lodge while you dine. There is a king size bedroom with an en suite shower room and a twin bedroom, both decorated with pretty soft furnishings and matching bedroom furniture. There is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. Heading outside onto the decking you will find your private hot tub, where you can spend your evenings relaxing whilst gazing at the stars.
