Montpellier House is located in the very centre of Henley, it has a long drive with space for 8+ cars and has a large garden, both of which are very rare in the heart of Henley. The layout of the house makes it suitable for any gathering and it can easily accommodate up to 12 people. It is a 5-minute walk to the river and 5 minutes to the many restaurants, cafes and shops in town.
Other local activities include cycling, the 170-mile Chiltern Cycleway passes the end of our road, and being in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are many walks including the Chiltern Way and The Thames Path. There is paddle boarding and boat, canoe and kayak rental on the river and many golf courses nearby. Visit the Henley farmers market on Thursdays. The Kenton theatre and Regal cinema are close by, along with the Henley train station. The Henley River and Rowing Museum is in town with it’s permanent Wind in the Willows exhibition.
As you approach the house, you can't help but be enthralled by the majesty and grandeur of the home with it's long gravelled driveway, beautiful plants and the bright white walls. Once you enter the property, the excitement continues. Montpellier House is a unique space successfully combining the home's historic charm with modern touches.
The house benefits from four bedrooms, each has a king bed and there are also four single beds available to suit your needs. The four rooms share two bathrooms with a range of showers, baths and toilets, all finished tastefully.
The kitchen boasts two electric ovens, a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and lots of work surfaces for preparing meals. There are plenty of utensils too, catering for twelve, and a charming breakfast area for more casual meals as well as a dining area for more formal eating. There is a laundry room with washing machine, sink, iron and ironing board.
The house has travel cots, highchairs and children’s tableware and there is a table football.
One of the main features of the house is the beautiful garden, sit back and relax, enjoy a BBQ, the fire pit and for a bit of fun enjoy a game of croquet. As the garden is fenced, it’s ideal to let your children or dog run free.
Despite the feeling of pure tranquillity, the house is conveniently located in the centre of Henley with all local amenities within walking distance so no need to use your car.
