Welcome to our lovely cottage! Formerly a cow shed (a long long time ago!), this delightful two bedroom cottage is the perfect rural retreat for a relaxing Pembrokeshire break. Superbly located to enjoy all of Pembrokeshire's treasures - castles, coast, countryside, attractions, shopping and food - you will love your stay here. Perfect for families, couples or friends, it is comfortable, well equipped and spacious - you'll feel immediately at home.
Over three levels, the cottage offers a sense of space and bags of character.
As you come through the front door, you'll see stairs up to bedroom and stairs down to the living area. And you'll find a cosy twin bedded room with some tiny window nooks, reflecting its former role. A generously sized family bathroom is adjacent, with a large shower and a bath. Plus a utility room, with washing machine, fridge freezer and space for coats and boots.
A few stairs down lead to a wonderful open kitchen-diner-sitting area which is well equipped and perfect for cooking up a storm, enjoying fun times around the table and relaxing on the comfy sofas. Double doors lead out to a patio with picnic bench - and there is a lawned area with rural views beyond.
On the upper level is a very large bedroom with king size bed and en suite toilet.
2 cots and 2 high chairs are available for little ones.
There is parking for one car - in the farmyard.
Heading out? The quaint town of Narberth with its lovely shops and cafes is a few miles away, as is Bluestone/Blue Lagoon, Oakwood roller coasters and Folly Farm. For the beach, you can easily reach Saundersfoot, Tenby and Manorbier - or head to firm favourites Freshwater West and Newgale. You can hike along the stunning Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, or to get away from it all, you can explore the Preseli Mountains. And after you've explored Llawhaden Castle -literally on your doorstep - you will want to head to Carew Castle and Pembroke Castle to experience the rich history of this area.
Llawhaden is a small, tranquil village, conveniently situated a mile or so from the A40. It is on the 'Landsker Line' - a term that was used to describe the boundary between the Welsh and English speaking parts of Pembrokeshire. Llawhaden Castle is one a number of castles that sits on that frontier - a fascinating bit of history.
Owner lives in the adjacent farmhouse. No pets, but our very friendly dog may pop his head round to say Hi!
Located in Narberth, this vacation home is in a rural area and near theme parks. Scolton Manor Country Park and Town Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Picton Castle & Gardens and Upton Castle. Holgan Farm Fishery and Steep Ravine are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with kayaking and windsurfing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking and rock climbing.
