Only 2.5 miles away is the picture postcard village of Denholm with its excellent local amenities including quality eateries, friendly local inns, butchers, a general store, a post office and a garage. Born in Scotland, which is a local craft brewery and distillery with a restaurant, grass hill sledging and outdoor ice skating in the winter months is just 4 miles away. Visit Mary Queen of Scots Visitor Centre, and Jedburgh Castle Jail and Museum (both 5 miles). Step inside this charming cottage from a flight of stone steps into the vestibule, a perfect place to store your outdoor clothing. Move through to the light and bright lounge, relax on the comfortable sofas after a day out exploring the beautiful local countryside.
