Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.
The space
There is a small kitchenette with fridge, kettle and delicious provisions for a continental breakfast. Dinner can be served by prior arrangement.
Guest access
Guests can explore the whole castle at their leisure. There is only the one bedroom suite.
Other things to note
The chamber is on the 2nd floor of the castle, with no lift access.
This castle is located in Peebles. Robert Smail's Printing Works and St Ronan's Wells are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Haylodge Park and Kailzie Gardens. Dawyck Botanic Garden and Great Polish Map of Scotland are also worth visiting.
