Step inside Mill Pond Cottage and immediately sense the homely ambiance. On the ground floor, you’ll find a fully-equipped kitchen/diner, perfect for cooking up delicious meals with your family and friends. Then, venture over to the sitting room and take a seat on the plush sofas, taking a moment to relax and think about the adventures ahead. When you’re ready for some fresh air, step out onto the charming patio, where you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and take in the tranquil surroundings of the garden or relax in the grand old pillar barn over looking the mill pond. Upstairs, you’ll find two beautifully-appointed bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with two singles, ideal for a family or a group of friends. Vellow Wood farm retreat, offers a tranquil and picture postcard location to relax with the wonderful mill pond in full view. Vellow Wood Farm is a hive of activity for wildlife, insects and flora. Here we dedicate much of our time to improving our surroundings and habitat and constantly do all we can to encourage all aspects of nature. The farm is managed in a gentle and kind manner with the support of the Countryside stewardship schemes we always have new environmental projects on the go and more than happy to chat and show you what we are doing and why. The cottage is nestled within the lovely old barns with a private garden to the side where you can relax, listening to the old mill stream. Mill Pond cottage was originally the old dairy house and stables where the farms working horses were housed with the hay stores above, converted some years ago now it offers a great location on the farm to enjoy all we have to offer. The old walled farm gardens and surrounding rose beds offer a feast for the eyes and the senses when in full bloom with many interesting corners for the keen gardener to enjoy and appreciate. Hop in the car and head north to Williton, well served by a selection of pubs and convenience stores, along with the West Somerset railway which links to the surrounding towns and villages. There are plenty of opportunities for walkers and garden lovers here, due to the Coleridge Way being close by, plus breathtaking views can be seen from the West Somerset Coast Path. Watchet is five miles away and can’t be missed, home to a wonderful selection of quirky shops, gastro pubs and restaurants, along with a picturesque marina where you can admire stunning boats and views across the Channel. Further afield is the bustling seaside town of Minehead, with its sandy beaches and vast selection of shops, eateries, and amusements or make your way up to the nearby Exmoor National Park for a selection of stunning walks and trails. Whatever you choose to do, a stay at Mill Pond Cottage promises to be one to remember.
