When you can tear yourself away, take advantage of the abundance of walking opportunities in the area with a trip to Cheddar Gorge and Caves, or spend your days wandering the picture-perfect Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for some unforgettable scenery. Slightly further afield you will reach the Wookey Hole Caves where you can join a guided tour, or stay above ground and take a stroll around The Bishop's Palace and Gardens. Heading in the opposite direction, animal lovers and children may want to explore the Animal Farm and Adventure Park, while those who savour the fresh sea air may want to venture to the coast and the idyllic town of Weston-super-Mare. The town is known for its golden sand beach, and there is even a golf course for the avid golfers in your group, as well as plenty of dining options. City dwellers can head further out to the cities of Bristol and Bath to do some shopping, sightseeing and yet more eating and drinking with the wealth of pubs, restaurants and cafés to choose from.
