This is an ideal holiday base for dog walking, cycling and country walks with the Mendip Hills opposite and the villages of Mells (1.5 miles) and Vobster (0.6 miles) nearby both with country pubs. For water, enthusiasts visit Vobster Quay (0.2 miles) an inland scuba diving, open water swimming, and stand up paddleboarding venue. The vibrant market town of Frome is 5 miles and the Roman city of Bath and the cathedral city of Wells are both 12.5 miles. Places of interest include Longleat Safari Park (10.8 miles), Chew Valley Lake (14.5 miles), Cheddar Gorge (20 miles), Glastonbury Tor (17 miles), and Stourhead House and Gardens (14 miles).
