Martock 1.5 miles. Bower Coach House is a beautiful cottage set on two floors. It is attached to the owners house and formerly the building was a coaching inn called the Red Lion, dating back to the 1600s and it retains some original features. There is one bedroom with a king-size sleigh bed and an en-suite shower room. Downstairs is an open plan kitchen, lounge, dining space with a woodburner and access to an enclosed shared garden. Bower Coach House is accessed via the original coach house arched entrance, through wooden doors into a secure garage area, large enough for one car. At the rear of the garage are steps that take you into the downstairs of the property. There is no wheelchair access to the cottage. There is also a narrow, steep staircase from the ground floor to the first floor. Whether youre driving, cycling or walking, Bower Hinton provides an ideal base for a holiday, with a variety of interesting and fun days out: Forde Abbey Gardens, Barrington Court, Montacute House, Tintinhull Gardens, Lytes Cary and East Lambrook should provide ample opportunity for gardeners and those who enjoy National Trust properties. The Haynes Motor Museum and the fleet air Arm Museum are in easy distance. Take a look at Somerset Cider making at Perrys Cider Barn in Dowlish Wake, or visit Somerset Cider Brandy. Muchelney Pottery is close by as well as the Willows and Wetlands. A lovely historical cottage with 21st century facilities, in an ideal location to explore some of the best of the West Country.
