This charming two double bedroom luxury flat takes up the entire first floor of the original 18th century Guard House in Guard House Lane and was sympathetically converted just four years ago from an impressive stone building which was originally built to house prisoners of war during the Napoleonic Wars in the late 1790's and early 1800's. The Guard House is tucked away just a few metres from Wells High Street and the City Centre with its historic buildings including Wells Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace. There is an excellent range of shopping and recreational facilities, bars, cafes and restaurants, twice weekly markets and festivals throughout the year.
The City of Wells lies on the southern slopes of the Mendip Hills providing miles of beautiful walking and riding countryside. Glastonbury and Bath are both within easy reach as well as Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge and Longleat Safari Park. The Jurassic Coast is just an hour away.
A key box at the entrance to the property allows easy access for guests to check-in. A dedicated parking space is located at the rear of the property.
