The mild climate and jaw dropping scenery are just a few of the things that make the northwest corner of Scotland the perfect destination for a secluded break. It's here that this property sits, above the grassy fields and beautiful sandy beach. This lovely Scourie Bay and Handa Island take centre stage as you gaze out of the window with your morning cup of tea, whilst the peaks of Ben Stack, Arkle and Foinaven are visible inland. As well as days on the beach, shops and places to eat, Scourie offers a wide range of coastal and hill walks and local fishing. Catch a ferry from Tarbet (3 miles away) for a day trip to the magical wildlife reserve on Handa Island. Beneath the pretty white weatherboard exterior, the property is homely and inviting, with an open plan layout that's ideal for getting the whole family together. Big windows in the lounge/dining room make it bright and airy and afford excellent views from every direction. From here the room flows through into the well equipped kitchen. Also on the ground floor is a twin bedroom, shower room and separate WC. When evening falls, draw the curtains and gather round the glow of the open fire before retiring to bed. Upstairs are the remaining bedrooms: two doubles (that can be made up as twins on request). There's also a bathroom upstairs, so after a long day of adventure, you can sink back into some bubbles with a cup of tea. Step out through the French doors and drink in the scenery from the lawn in front of the house: you'd be hard pushed to find a better spot for sunset aperitifs and this makes it an amazing place if you are a budding photographer. An extra advantage of Scourie's mild climate and coastal breeze is that it deters the infamous Scottish midges, so there's another thing you won't need to worry about.
