The name Dollars Cottage has a fascinating backstory - the cottage was constructed using the loot from a ship that ran aground at Llangennith. This intriguing tale has become a cherished anecdote for both the owners and visitors alike.
Step inside the Reception and be greeted by a warm and welcoming ambience. The centerpiece here is the inviting fireplace with a wood burner that promises cozy nights in. Relax on the plush corner sofa with an upholstered footstool, browse the selection of books, or watch a movie on the flatscreen TV with a DVD player. The dining room is a lovely space with a dining table and chairs for 6 guests, and an archway that leads to the well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen is complete with an electric ceramic hob, dishwasher, built-in microwave, and a heritage electric cooker/hob.
The Utility Room is conveniently located and features a washing machine, a fridge/freezer, and additional cupboard space with a door leading to the back garden. The Downstairs Shower Room is tastefully tiled and features a shower cubicle, a WC, and a wash hand basin. The first floor of the cottage features four comfortable bedrooms, including a spacious Master Bedroom with a king-size bed and ample hanging and storage space.
Bedroom 2 boasts a comfortable double bed, while Bedroom 3 includes two single beds (or a king-size bed, depending on your preference at the time of booking), hanging space, and a dressing table with a mirror. Bedroom 4, also known as the Spare Room/Kids Room, features a single bed, a TV, and storage drawers and shelves. The Family Bathroom is well-appointed with a feature bath, a wash hand basin, a vanity unit, and a WC.
The External area includes a parking area for up to 3 cars at the front of the cottage. The stunning grounds that surround the house boast 2 large well-kept gardens that offer an incredibly tranquil experience. Complete with a charcoal BBQ, wooden table and chairs and even a swing for the children, the outdoor area is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape. The gate to the side of the cottage allows easy access across the fields to the nearby Llangennith beach.
Dollars Cottage can accommodate up to 7 guests, with 1 King, 1 Double, 1 Twin, and 1 Single bed. However, please note that the lounge area and dining room are best suited for 6 people. The cottage features Oil CH, a wood burner, bed linen and towels provided, WiFi, a booster seat (on request), an incoming phone line, parking, and allows 1 pet (no smoking).
Visitors to the village of Llangennith can enjoy the thriving local pub, The Kings Head, which serves up quality homemade food and a range of authentic ales. They can also visit PJ's surf shop, which offers the latest surfing fashion and accessories, as well as board and wetsuit rentals for those eager to hit the waves. For essential supplies, Hill End Campsite (open from Easter to September) is conveniently located near the stunning Llangennith beach and offers a small selection of groceries.

When you get to Llangennith, you will find the Kings Head pub, turn right just past this and follow the road through a narrow section to the end where you will fins a mini round about. Turn left here and follow the road towards Hill end. After the initial houses on your right, you will pass some field, then there is a row of 6 large detached houses, Dollars cottage is the last one on the right hand side.
