Just 2 miles from the cottage is Shipston on Stour which is ideally located on the edge of the Cotswolds. The town has a fantastic range of eateries and pubs, and you can enjoy a scenic walk along the River Stour. Stratford upon Avon (12 miles), birthplace of William Shakespeare, is easily accessible from the property and well worth a visit to learn about the history of the area. Enjoy a performance at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and visit the family home of Shakespeare s wife, Anne Hathaway. The area is ideal for walkers and cyclists with many trails winding through the picturesque Cotswolds countryside. Two gems of the area, Bourton on the Water (16 miles) and Stow on the Wold (12 miles), are extremely popular for a day trip to experience two traditional Cotswold towns at their very best. After a busy day exploring the area, head back to the cottage to relax. Make your way into the property and into the first of two living spaces which have a wonderful cottage feel.
