. Charming rural retreat brimming with character offering a lovely home from home break in a beautiful part of the country. Just 2 miles from the cottage is Shipston on Stour which is ideally located on the edge of the Cotswolds. The town has a fantastic range of eateries and pubs, and you can enjoy a scenic walk along the River Stour. Stratford upon Avon (12 miles), birthplace of William Shakespeare, is easily accessible from the property and well worth a visit to learn about the history of the area. Enjoy a performance at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and visit the family home of Shakespeare s wife, Anne Hathaway. The area is ideal for walkers and cyclists with many trails winding through the picturesque Cotswolds countryside. Two gems of the area, Bourton on the Water (16 miles) and Stow on the Wold (12 miles), are extremely popular for a day trip to experience two traditional Cotswold towns at their very best. After a busy day exploring the area, head back to the cottage to relax. Make your way into the property and into the first of two living spaces which have a wonderful cottage feel. The first has a table and chairs and a selection of games, perfect for an afternoon with friends. Off this room is the living room which is equipped with a Smart TV, comfortable sofas and open fire. There is a spacious kitchen which leads into the conservatory which has a dining table with lovely views across the gardens. The kitchen is fully equipped for a self catered stay and there is a breakfast bar to enjoy your morning coffee. Upstairs are three bedrooms, one king size and two singles. The spacious king size room has an en suite shower room and there is a further family bathroom with shower over bath. To the front of the property is parking for two vehicles on the driveway. The pretty and well kept garden has a table and chairs to enjoy a drink in the sunshine and there is outdoor storage for cyclists wishing to securely store their bikes.
