There are lots of activities in Shipston itself and the surrounding areas, with concerts, farmers’ markets, festivals, and guided walks often available. With the Cotswolds on your doorstep, there are many quintessential towns and villages waiting to be discovered and enjoyed including Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden, Chipping Norton, Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, and Bourton-on-the-Water, all within 15 miles.
Shakespeare’s hometown of Stratford-Upon-Avon is within 10 miles, and you can visit the many historic houses associated with William Shakespeare, take in one of his plays at the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre or simply enjoy the shops and eateries or a boat trip along the river. Within an hour’s drive are Oxford, Warwick, Bicester, Cheltenham, and Gloucester, with history, shopping, museums, and culture readily available. There is plenty to see and do around this area.
