The perfect place for a peaceful holiday, this delightful cottage is close to four pubs, a shop and coffee shop in the village of Talybont. Try the outdoor activities available at Llangorse Activity Centre with its climbing wall and Cantref Adventure Farm, both with pony trekking centres. Hire a kayak and paddle along the Brecon and Monmouth Canal, or walk along the River Wye and the River Usk. The Henry Vaughan Walk along The Brinoyre Tram Road winds through the scenic and historic Talybont valley, or you can climb a number of footpaths up to the Beacons. Immerse yourselves in Welsh cultural history with a visit to one of many historic houses, gardens and castles. Crickhowell and Abergavenny are within easy reach and perfect for a day trip of pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Sitting behind the fabulous old Talybryn House, this delightful cottage is not completely secluded but certainly feels so. Exposed stone walls and beams nod to the provenance of the cottage, whilst the cream walls contrast with the wooden fittings, creating a stylish and elegant interior. Pastel furnishings create an atmosphere of sophistication to this cosy bolthole for two. Newly equipped, the kitchen has an electric cooker and hob, a microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, with the Emma Bridgewater crockery giving a country cottage feel and a gentle splash of colour. There is a washing machine and a tumble dryer in a separate laundry room. Climb a few steps to the beautifully furnished, light and bright living room, where you can curl up on the leather sofa and watch a film in front of the wood burner. The elegance continues upstairs to the light and spacious master bedroom with a king size bed covered with a handmade patchwork quilt, and wonderful views across the Usk Valley to the Talybont Valley. A granary door leads down to the little terrace and garden, the perfect spot to soak up the sun. The en suite bathroom has an over the bath shower. Garden with BBQ. There is off road parking, a pub 1 mile away, and a shop and restaurant 2 miles from the property.
