South Lodge is a single storey self-catering holiday cottage situated on its own, nestled into the side of the wood. The cottage is in an elevated position looking over to the main estate house and the loch and hills beyond.
You enter the cottage up three steps to the porch where you can leave all your wellies and coats, then onto the landing. which has two doors. The right hand door leads to a large comfortable bedroom with either a super king sized bed or twin beds. The bedroom has fitted cupboards, a chest of drawers, dressing table and with two double glazed windows looking out across the woods and lawns. The door to the left leads into the cosy, relaxing sitting room with log burner, flat screen TV/DVD, docking station, comfy sofa and chair. The two double glazed windows also have beautiful views.
Off the far end of the sitting room is a door which leads to the kitchen and shower room.
The kitchen to the right is well equipped with fridge freezer, washing machine, electric cooker and microwave and all the equipment you would need to prepare food.
The shower room to the left has under floor heating, large walk in Aqualisa shower with excellent pressure, basin and WC.
This charming cottage has its own garden laid mostly to lawn with a selection of garden furniture and a mobile Barbecue for summer evenings. If you are quiet you can spot the red squirrels feeding regularly off the cottages own bird table which we feed.
An open shed provides ideal storage for bikes or a roof box and room for off road parking.
There is also a large log shed and logs are provided free but some need to be split with the axe provided.
South Lodge has everything you would need and is a true ‘Home from Home’.
