Lodge Eleonora is a spacious bungalow, in a sunny sea front position, located in the small village of Ascog, with the most fabulous views over a well maintained garden, Ascog Bay and the Clyde basin.
The property is a very quiet and private place with shared private parking, and is comfortably furnished and decorated with a warm, homely atmosphere. It has easy access, with a short flight of steps to front door, leading to a large hallway which is open plan with a kitchen/dining room, and access to all other rooms. The comfortable living room enjoys quite stunning views over Ascog Bay through the patio windows, which lead onto the terrace and gardens.
The front-facing bedroom has the most fabulous garden and sea views, and features a super kingsize bed and a single bed. The second large bedroom at the rear of the property enjoys views over the garden, and boasts a kingsize bed and convenient wash basin.
Ascog is a small, residential, coastal village, only 2½ miles from the main town of Rothesay, which is a charming coastal town and ferry port. It has many interesting shops, cafés, restaurants and attractions. There is also an excellent tourist office in the Discovery Centre, which houses an exhibition about the Isle of Bute.
Bute is only 33 miles from Glasgow and is one of the most accessible of the westerly islands from the Scottish Central Belt. 15 miles long and 5 miles across at its widest point, the island is home to many historical sites, including Rothesay Castle and Mount Stuart House, along with beautiful gardens and walks for all abilities, including the West Island Way. There are three golf courses on the island as well as horse riding, sailing, kayaking, and fishing. Beach 50 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

Located in Rothesay, this cottage is in a rural area and on a river. Rosslyn Castle and Mount Stuart are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Loch Fad and St Ninian’s Bay. Ardencraig Gardens and Bute Museum are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as fishing and other activities like golfing.
