This stunning, large, renovated church is situated in Kilchattan Bay, 8 miles from the town of Rothesay. To the front is the beach, and woods to the rear. It is tastefully adorned with original features and bathed in natural light. The Island is 15 miles long and 5 miles wide and is packed with history, culture, and arts including Mount Stuart House and Rothesay Castle. Rothesay is a Victorian seaside town that has managed to maintain its historic, grand architecture. For outdoor lovers, Bute has extraordinarily varied landscapes, lochs, and sandy beaches at Kilchattan Bay and Ettrick Bay to the north west. Bute offers stunning views of the neighbouring island of Arran, and is a haven for walking, cycling, fishing, wild swimming, golf and wildlife. This property, situated right on the seafront, is ideal for family and friends who like to holiday together but who also value their own space; the property is spacious with four lounge areas and two kitchens (second kitchen available on request with the owner). The entrance is via the main door at the front of the church, entering into the lounge area which is a lovely space to relax and take in the sea views; or watch your favourite movies on the Smart TV. Leave your sandy shoes in the cloakroom just off the lounge area, where you will also find a shower room with a shower and WC, useful when returning from the beach. There is a smaller kitchen which contains an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer and is available on request by arrangement with the owner. Leading from this lounge/kitchen there is a king size bedroom and a separate WC. In the next part of the property, you will find a bathroom with a separate roll top bath, steam/sauna shower and WC. There is a king size bedroom and a double bedroom, both with an en suite shower and WC, and one twin bedroom. The main kitchen/diner has extra high ceilings and original stained glass windows, perfect to enjoy a family meal around the large oak table which seats the whole party. The kitchen area contains an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. Leading from the main kitchen is a second lounge with a sofa and wood burner where you can enjoy a book while dinner is cooking. There is also a separate WC here and access to outside. This leads to the utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a snug area with a Smart TV; from here you can open the doors to the back garden onto a seating area. The games room features sofas, a wood burner, bar area and pool table, an ideal space to relax and play while listening to music on the Bluetooth speaker. Outside is a walkaround garden with two seating areas, one with a charcoal BBQ and a fire pit which is the perfect spot to enjoy al fresco dining. The lawned garden leads up to the back gate onto a walking/cycling trail through the woods. In the front garden, you can enjoy the view of the bay. There is roadside parking (subject to availability).
