The space
You'll enjoy walking into this light & airy two-bedroom cottage. Five miles from the historic Cathedral City of Ely and offering fabulous views across open countryside, Oak Cottage offers you warm and contemporary open plan living.
With two king-size beds and it's very own enclosed garden and patio, Oak is the perfect place for a group of friends or a family of four looking for a rural retreat.
Stored for your convenience, there is salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee, toilet roll, soap, bin liners, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets.
We provide all bed linen and super soft towels, for all guests.
It comes with is very own private garden with outdoor furniture and a BBQ is available by prior request, providing a lovely area for relaxing in this scenic Fenland location. We have four properties at Gravel Farm, all of which can be booked together, sleeping a total of 18 people, plus space for cots.
Ocado (Waitrose), Sainsbury’s and Tesco deliver directly to Oak Cottage, so you can order your shopping with delivery on your arrival.
Guest access
As a guest at Oak Cottage, you will have access to all areas of the cottage and private garden, as well as parts of the neighbouring farm, river & riverbank. You’re also able to launch your canoe or boat for free from the local marina a mile away.
Other things to note
If you would like any the second bedroom made into a twin, please let us know prior to your arrival, as they are set as king-sized as standard.
You will be required to pay a £200 security deposit prior to your arrival, we will contact you to take your card details over the phone. These will be held on our secure banking application as a security deposit and your card will not be charged, but the hold means that you won’t be able to access these funds until the hold is released.
If you are bringing dogs, we must be made aware of this before your stay and an additional security deposit of £50 per dog is required.
A BBQ is only available by prior request.
We can provide a travel cot & high chair by prior request.
We can also provide an adjustable height shower chair should you require this, again please inform us on booking.
Located in Ely, this vacation home is in a rural area and on a river. Stretham Old Engine and Denny Abbey and Farmland Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Ely City Golf Club and Royal Worlington & Newmarket Golf Club. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Fenner's or Abbey Stadium. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
