The Den is a wonderful, romantic holiday home in the farming village of Llaynbri, near Carmarthen in South Wales. The cottage is beside a boutique B&B on the owner's smallholding, where you will find cattle, pigs, sheeps, ducks, chicken and geese. You can even look after your own duck or hen during your stay, and collect their eggs. The cottage is set solely on the ground floor, with a king-size double bedroom that can be converted into a twin and an en-suite WC, as well as a shower room. There is an open plan living space with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with woodburner. Outside there is off road parking for one car, an enclosed patio to the front and rear with furniture, and a lawned garden at the back with estuary views. In a great base for exploring South Wales' coastline, The Den is the perfect getaway for friends or couples.

Town: Llansteffan is a lovely seaside village with its own castle ruins, a post office, general store and two pubs specialising in serving local food. This tranquil setting is only a short journey from the county town of Camarthen, which offers visitors a wide range of facilities including numerous shops and boutiques, restaurants, pubs and a thriving daily market. This spectacular part of Wales has always drawn the crowds but there are enough isolated sandy coves and beaches to give everyone the chance to find some peace and quiet. If you're more of an adrenaline junky, the noise and excitement of Pembrey motor racing track is only a short drive away whilst culture-vultures can visit Dylan Thomas' Boat House at Laugharne or the plentiful castles, mills and craft centres in the region. Llansteffan offers a perfect base for a wide range of holidays and is a marvellous introduction to this glorious part of Wales.
