The Lost Gardens of Heligan are home to wonderful outdoor sculptures set within the landscaped gardens, and are dog-friendly, so bring a picnic and enjoy a day immersed in natural beauty. The famous surfer haven of Newquay must be visited to try the waves on Fistral Beach, book a lesson with one of the surf schools here on the beach if you're a novice, or hire equipment to get out on the waves yourself if you know how. The Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay is a popular attraction, along with the many bars and pubs here making up its popular evening and night life scene.
