As you walk down to Creekside from the parking area, the view of Mixtow Creek just below the house is breathtaking. All the main rooms look on to the moored boats and activity on the water. A short stroll takes you from the pretty walled garden down to our private pontoon where visitors can keep a boat, either their own or hired from Fowey River Boat Hire. The large covered porch, where visitors keep their surf boards, fishing rods and oars, leads through the stable door to the boot room and past the cloakroom to the kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the things you would hope to find in your holiday home. The large island looks onto the Fowey River, there are two Miele ovens and microwave, and a large French style fridge freezer will take care of all your cold food storage. Double doors from the kitchen lead to the sitting/dining room with a wall of sliding glass doors facing the water and the river towards Fowey and Polruan, and another glass door leads to steps to the walled garden with pond and summerhouse, linked by the wrap around glass and stainless steel balcony where you can enjoy the view over Mixtow Creek and downstream to Fowey There are two outside eating areas, one is on the terrace right above the water and another is in the walled garden from which you can keep an eye on the boats moored below whilst you sip something chilled. A glass and stainless steel wrap around balcony is an ideal place to watch other members of your party paddle boarding or do a spot of bird watching from the comfort of the sitting room. On the same level as the kitchen and sitting room is one of the main bedrooms with king size bed, en suite bathroom with shower over the bath, bidet and WC . A glass door from the bedroom opens onto a private balcony that is ideal for taking that early morning cup of tea whilst watching the tide at the head of the creek. There are four other bedrooms downstairs a twin room with vanity basin, a children’s room with bunk beds and a single bed, a king size double and a super king in the master bedroom, which has a dressing room and en suite shower room. A family bathroom serves the other bedrooms and a door from the corridor opens out onto the dining terrace. Travel over to the town centre of Fowey for all your necessary amenities and explore the local shops, pubs and restaurants before enjoying a gentle stroll around the bustling harbour, and other local attractions such as Ready Money Cove and ferry rides over to Polruan. Embark on outdoor adventure and head out on one of the beautiful walking and cycling trails over to the incredible South West Coast Path, boasting sensational views of seascapes and enchanting coves. Make sure to visit Cornwall's renowned attractions just a short drive away, including the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the fishing ports of Mevagissey and Charlestown, the Shipwreck Treasure Museum, Pinetum Gardens, and Porthpean Beach. Alternatively, spend a day in the exciting town of St Austell which boasts even more amenities and eateries to indulge in, or choose to visit the pretty coastal spots of Polperro and Looe. Make Creekside House your family getaway to the Cornish coast.
