TREVONE AND THE LOCAL AREA.
Trevone is a small village which is famous for its two beaches (sandy beach & rocky beach), a general store, beach car parks, a pub and a surf store.
The main sandy beach is a beautiful cove with the famous ‘Round Hole’ on the cliff top, which is life guarded (dog prohibited) during the summer months. Just around the bay is Rocky Beach, perfect for rock pooling, shell collecting and also featuring a natural swimming pool. Surfing and body boarding are very popular in Trevone and nearby Harlyn Bay with many local surf schools that teach all age groups.
Trevone is ideally situated as a base for North Cornwall and beyond. Padstow is just a few minutes’ drive away, the resort of Newquay some 20 minutes’ drive and some of Cornwall's most popular attractions such as The Eden Project, Lanhydrock House, Truro, St Ives and Boscastle all less than 45 minutes away.
There are many activities for all ages - golf at Trevose Head, surfing, body boarding, fishing, coastal walks (adjacent to the national coastal path), golfing, horse riding, or just relaxing on the sandy beach.
Located in Padstow, this cottage is near the beach. Prideaux Place and Pencarrow House and Garden are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include National Lobster Hatchery and Padstow Maize Maze. Camel Creek Adventure Park and Retallack Water Sports are also worth visiting.
