This pretty home is in a lovely, rural spot on a quiet country road, 2 miles from the charming village of Alston. There are many footpaths surrounding the area, so you ll never be short of choice for routes into the countryside. Take a visit to the magnificent, cascading waterfall Ashgill Force (5 miles) and enjoy a gentle ramble to the falls. If you re looking for a more challenging walk, visit Burnhope Seat at 7.5 miles away. It s the highest fell in the North Pennines and has superb views at the peak. Yad Moss (7 miles) is a real snow ski area with its own ski lift and a few varied ski and snowboard routes weather dependent of course, but worth checking the forecast in advance if you have your own ski gear. 18 miles from the property is Penrith, an attractive town with plenty of independent shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. This ground floor property is a real home from home; a stunning barn conversion, it has been beautifully finished throughout. Enter into a hallway and head through to the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and has plenty of surface space too.
