This property enjoys a tranquil location just across the water from the pretty village of Coniston on Coniston Water. It is just as suited for those who want to relax and unwind as it is for those who want to get out and enjoy the huge choice of outdoor pursuits that are on offer to visitors. There are some fantastic mountain walks to be had nearby, most notably on the trails which lead to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston, with several routes available to suit different levels of fitness, but all of which end with stunning views across the lake and beyond. The village of Coniston in just 1.5 miles around the lake from the cottage and can be reached via a reasonably flat walk, or by car if preferred. In the village, as well as an array of shops, visitors will find a choice of pubs and a popular boating centre from where they can participate in a good range of watersports or a hire a boat for the day. The heart of this stunning cottage is the open plan living space comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner. This stylish room has been finished in a contemporary fashion and offers a comfortable lounge area with a large Chesterfield sofa, a warming wood burner, and a Smart TV/DVD, as well as a DAB radio and Bluetooth speaker. The kitchen area is separated from the lounge by a glossy breakfast bar with stool seating, beyond which guests will find an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer, as well as a host of extras including a slow cooker and a panini griddle. The dual aspect bedroom is a pretty, light filled room with a king size bed and dressing table, next door to which there is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Opening the French windows from the main living area, guests step out onto a shingled seating area where they will not only find garden furniture , but also the sumptuous hot tub from where they can enjoy the picturesque views, or perhaps look up at the night sky. Beyond this area there is a generously sized lawn, whilst, to the front of the cottage there is off road parking for two cars.
