This property is located in a prime location at the heart of the Lake District in an area renowned for its connections to Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. It also packed with National Trust properties, pubs, and tearooms. A little further away, around a fifteen minute drive away, is the town of Ambleside, from where visitors can take cruises on Lake Windermere to Bowness and Lakeside. It is a popular tourism hub and as such, offers a range of shops and eateries. The location of the property means that it is a wonderful base for everyone who wants to explore the region on foot, whether they want a gentle stroll or a challenging climb. For visitors who want to take to the water, nearby Coniston Water has a fantastic boating centre which has a wide range of equipment for hire, including paddle boards, canoes, rowing boats, and motor boats. This property occupies half a converted 17th century Lakeland barn. All of the accommodation is on the ground floor. On entering the property, guests will come to the handy sunny porch which has plenty of space for leaving your muddy boots, before coming to the dining room. The main living area of the house is the spacious lounge, the perfect space for relaxing, with its wood burner, TV, DVD, CD and telephone. In the summer, guests will enjoy opening the French windows which give access to the garden. The property s kitchen is tastefully decorated and well equipped with an oven, hob, large fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is a back utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and large drying cabinet perfect for drying walking gear and boots. There are two bedrooms on the same level, one of which is a kingsize double with an en suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom is an attractive twin, across the hall from which is the bathroom with shower over the bath and WC. Outside, there is a sunny south facing garden with lawn and mature schubs from where guests can sit and enjoy the views across the valley from the table and chairs. There is ample off road parking and a handy bike store which guests are able to make use of.
