The property, which welcomes five guests, enjoys an elevated position with views towards the surrounding fells. There s so much to do nearby, from exhilarating fell climbs to majestic lake cruises. Just 1 mile away is the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, where you can board a vintage steam train and chug through the spectacular scenery to Windermere. Here, why not get out on the water for a memorable trip on one of the historic steamers? You ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to nearby walks; take a hike to the summit of Helvellyn (23 miles) or explore the network of trails at Grizedale Forest (10 miles). A flight of external steps lead to this cosy cottage. The spacious lounge/diner is arranged in an L shape and has a cosy wood burner for you to snuggle in front of on a chilly evening whilst watching a good film on the TV/DVD. Vibrant fabrics and warm tones create a lovely homely atmosphere. The colour scheme continues into the dining area, where you can all gather for evening meals and to plan the next day s itinerary. The light and airy kitchen has lovely views out over the garden and is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There s also a handy washing machine for any muddy walking gear. Heading upstairs, discover three charming bedrooms: a warm and inviting double with an en suite bathroom with shower and WC, a bright twin and a cosy single. On this floor you ll also find the stylish family bathroom, with a bath, shower and WC. Sliding doors lead from the dining area to the outside patio, which is the perfect peaceful spot for a morning coffee. At the rear of the cottage, steps lead to the elevated garden, with fabulous views towards the fells; sit here with a pre dinner drink for a moment of peace and tranquillity. There is off road parking available for two cars directly in front of the cottage.
