For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, there is a range of pleasure cruises on offer locally, as well as the regular ferry which runs between Ambleside and Bowness. Guests will find it hard not to fall in love with this beautiful cottage, with its period features, inviting accommodation and peaceful location. On the ground floor of the property, a cosy lounge is the heart of the house, a relaxing space with a working fire, comfy sofas, TV, DVD, CD and telephone for incoming calls. Additionally, there is a snug room with a wood burner and a range of books, the perfect place to curl up at the end of a busy day. The dining room has a dining table seating five and sound system. The pretty kitchen is as practical as it is attractive, with a range cooker, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher as well as additional dining table and log burner. A cupboard just outside the kitchen houses the washing machine. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, a characterful king size (which can be made up as a twin on request) a pretty single with views over the garden and a lovely master with built in wardrobes and an en suite. The property s family bathroom can also be found on the first floor and has a sumptuous roll top bath, a large separate shower, and WC. The spacious sunny garden enjoys a south facing positon and has a large lawn, as well as a patio seating area. There is a separate garden area to the rear of the property which has access to a stream with a series of small waterfalls, guests should exercise caution in this area and carefully supervise children. There is also off road parking for four cars.
