Cottage In Cumbria, Eskdale

Lake District. Sleeps up to 5

Gaze out across the Eskdale Valley from this tranquil, terraced cottage, in the picturesque Lake District. Up to five guests, and two dogs, are welcome to stay at the three bedroom property, which is approximately 0.5 miles from Boot, start of the Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway. Catch a train from here to make the 7 mile journey through spectacular scenery to the coast. Stroll on the sands at Ravenglass and visit Muncaster Castle. Walk 3 miles from your base to the shores of Wast Water or 4 miles to the base of Scafell Pike. Plan days out to Ambleside, 13.5 miles away, to shop in its interesting stores, dine out in pubs and restaurants and take a trip out on Lake Windermere. Arrive at this pretty cottage to find an abundance of character features, including stone floors and revealed timbers. Leave your outerwear in the porch then find yourselves in the homely lounge/diner, where you can stoke up the wood burner then bask in its glow as you watch the Smart TV with Freesat together, enjoy the magical outlook from the window seat or read a few pages of your holiday novel. Wander through into the kitchen, which has a fan oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge and slimline dishwasher. There is also a utility room, with washing machine and tumble dryer and plenty of space for towelling down damp dogs. Climb the stairs to find the bathroom halfway up, with its bath, with shower above, WC and handbasin. Two double bedrooms and a single bedroom are situated up on the first floor and capture glorious far reaching views. Spread out into the garden on sunny days. Choose where to sit to dine out or to enjoy a drink out in the fresh air. Watch the children playing on the grass and take in the sweeping, verdant vistas.
