The modern kitchen has every mod con to make your stay here at Constable Cottage stress free. From the kitchen steps lead down to a large utility room with access out to the very sunny and enclosed sitting-out area where you can sip your morning coffee.
Upstairs, the comfort continues with sumptuous beds and quality linen and a large and modern family bathroom. Being in the heart of the town Constable Cottage is only a short stroll from the main street where you will find a variety of independent shops and excellent restaurants and pubs. Brampton is ideally situated to explore an abundance of attractions close by, probably the most famous, the iconic Hadrian’s Wall. Within a few miles of Brampton and Constable Cottage you can walk stretches of the wall. Talkin Tarn Country Park, just a few miles outside of town, is beautiful with its 65-acre lake set amidst 120 acres of woodland, the ideal place to enjoy a walk or even try your hand at some boating on the lake. The beautiful border city of Carlisle is a 20-minute drive away where you can visit the castle or just take in some retail therapy at some of the high street shops. Or why not take a drive over the border to the beautiful beaches of Dumfries and Galloway and the pretty village of Gretna Green? While at Constable Cottage however, no stay would be complete without a visit to the stunning Lake District National Park with its majestic mountains and lakes, and thriving communities like Keswick and Windermere.
