This property enjoys a simply stunning location looking down on Coniston Water and its namesake village. The village is located within walking distance of the property and offers a good range of shops, as well as several pubs and cafes, and even a microbrewery. It is the perfect base for making the most of the stunning natural landscape, with the Old Man of Coniston offering a range of walks to the summit to suit all levels of fitness. On the lakeside, there is a boating centre from where visitors can participate in a range of water sports and hire a range of craft including canoes, sailing boats, and motor boats. Next to this facility, the National Trust run their beautifully restored Victorian steamers, taking visitors on leisurely cruises on the lake. On arrival at this property, the first room that guests will come to is the kitchen/diner with its AGA oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer, as well as a breakfast table. Next to the kitchen, the lounge is a cosy feeling room with inviting seating, a stone fireplace with a warming open fire, a CD player, and Smart TV. Patio doors in this room open out onto the terraced garden and allow guests to enjoy the spectacular views. Stairs lead to the first floor where two of the property s three bedrooms are situated. The first of these is an attractively finished double room which benefits from an en suite shower room with shower and WC. The second bedroom on this floor is a bunk bedroom which is suitable for two children, whilst there is also a bathroom on this floor with a shower over bath and WC. A second set of stairs leads up to the attic bedroom on the second floor, a charming double room, set in the eaves of the house which benefits from its own TV/DVD. Patio doors from the lounge lead out to the split level terraced garden, an idyllic space to relax over drinks and take in the spectacular views over Coniston Water from the table and chairs, or even a BBQ in the summer months. There is parking for two cars, but please note that the road leading to the property is steep and not suitable for vehicles with low ground clearance.
