This fantastic terraced cottage is in a great location offering plenty of local attractions and an abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants nearby. The location couldn’t be better, as the property lies just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Windermere along the park, which is great for kids and dogs, and 20 minutes’ walk from the lake at Bowness with its many cafés, shops, pubs and restaurants. From Bowness you can also enjoy a boat trip across the lake. Bannerrigg View has its own parking space off Limethwaite Road at the front of the cottage, and also has high speed internet and digital TV/movie services.
On the ground floor of this lovely property is an open plan living/dining room with a cosy lwood burner and plenty of comfy seating. There is a separate, large, well-equipped kitchen with everything you will need, as well as a separate downstairs toilet. There is an enclosed yard to the rear of the cottage with access to the lane to the rear. There are three welcoming bedrooms; the master bedroom enjoys views over Lakeland rooftops towards the hills Bannerrigg, Orrest Head and towards the mountains of the National Park where the peaks of the Langdale Valley are prominent (weather permitting!). There is a large family bathroom on the first floor with a bath and a separate shower cubicle.
A short drive will take you to the neighbouring villages of Ambleside and Grasmere, which are set in the heart of Wordsworth Country, or perhaps enjoy a ferry trip across the lake. Take one of the many country walks straight from the doorstep of Bannerrigg Vie; Orrest Head and School Knot are walks lasting 1-2 hours, both with very rewarding views of Lake Windermere and the mountains of the National Park. Or explore central Lakeland by car. There is a corner shop on the corner of Limethwaite Road with pubs and shops within a 5-minute walk. Shop, pub and restaurants 100 yards.
