This is a completely unique property sitting within 20 acres of the owner’s house and situated next to its own private lake with access to 8-acres of private woodland. With emphasis on quality, style and comfort, Ghyll Crest Lodge offers a superb holiday base for families and friends eager to be surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Lakelands. Enter at ground floor level into the utility area where you can leave your muddy gear behind before finding the upstairs living area, designed to take advantage of the superb views. After an adventure-filled afternoon, look forward to unwinding on the large L-shaped sofa in front of the woodburning stove which offers a gentle warmth during the colder months. When you feel like trying your hand at a local delicacy or a family-favourite recipe, head into the kitchen where a contemporary range of appliances are integrated around oak veneer and Corian worktops, allowing the chef amongst the group to rustle up something tasty. Just off the lounge and upstairs is the master suite split into two halves with a king-size bed to one side and a large walk-in shower, bath and basin to the other, along with a separate WC. The remaining bedrooms are positioned downstairs and include a king-size with en-suite shower and two double rooms served by a luxurious fully tiled shower room. To the exterior is a balcony area where you can enjoy lunch in the sunshine before exploring the wooded surroundings, with a private lake at the foot of the garden providing a truly idyllic setting to unwind with a good book or well-deserved glass of wine. The woodland opens up onto many public footpaths around the shores of Lake Windermere, providing further stunning views that will make you want to return each year. Explore the quaint streets of Bowness and discover a wealth of independent shops selling local produce, plus attractions such as The World of Beatrix Potter, Windermere Jetty Museum, golfing opportunities and plenty of watersporting on Lake Windermere. Take a trip over to Grizedale Forest, where many outdoor activities will excite kids and adults alike; try mountain biking, Segway treks and zip wires at Go Ape Grizedale, or simply enjoy a gentle stroll through ancient woodland. Ghyll Crest Lodge is a superb holiday home boasting style and quality, set within the stunning surroundings of the Lake District.
