Whether you would like to try wind surfing on Carsington Water or a less energetic stroll through historic Ashbourne, you will be centrally located for many attractions. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Heights of Abraham, Tissington & Monsal Trail and Alton Towers are within easy reach. The views over Carsington Water are beautiful, yet only three miles from Ashbourne town centre. From the farm, there are walking, cycle routes and bridleways meaning you can explore the area without getting in to your car. On an early evening, you can walk to the local village pub which serves great food and Kniveton produced cider. Stepping into the cosy open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The first thing you notice are the large windows that act as a picture frame to the surrounding rolling countryside. The focal point of the room is a cosy wood burner which is perfect for those romantic nights in snuggled up in front of the fire on the comfy sofa. The area also presents a Smart TV/DVD and extendable dining table if you decide to do a spot of cooking. The compact kitchen area offers an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher and fridge. At the end of the lodge is the double bedroom with built in wardrobes and a comfy bed you wont want to leave. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious with electric shower over the bath WC and heated towel rail. In a separate Annex, there is an Exercise and Relaxation Room, with full height glazing looking over the surrounding countryside. This is a great space for yoga, mindfulness exercises, relaxation or bodyweight exercises. The outside of the lodge really makes this something special, there is a decked area to the front of the lodge to sit, relax and lose your thoughts over the sublime views. If you love animals, the outside space is perfect to relax and watch the sheep, Belted Galloway cows and Shire horses graze the pastures and meadows around the farm whilst soaking up the peaceful tranquillity. The rear of the lodge also offers a private patio area with seating and BBQ. There is ample parking around the lodge.
