A quiet rural escape high in the hills between the charming villages of Youlgreave and Elton with wide views over the green valley below. From the cottage you can enjoy fantastic walks with footpaths on your doorstep. Secluded and peaceful, the surrounding area waits to be discovered on foot, by bike or by car. Bakewell is just 15 minutes away by car, with many shopping and dining facilities including a chance to sample the famous Bakewell Pudding. Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House and Gardens are a must see for anyone who visits don t forget to stop at the farm shop and stock up on the local food and drink. The nearby village of Youlgreave offers a range of good local shops and pubs. You enter this wonderful country cottage by a traditional barn door and arrive into the main hall. The main bathroom is located on the ground floor at the end of the hall with a shower over bath. Down a few steps from the hallway you enter a cosy wood floored living room with many original features including a wood burner. This is perfect place to unwind with two leather sofas and two armchairs in front of the fire, and a nearby TV/DVD and a Bluetooth speaker. Moving along you enter a country style kitchen and dining room with a generous electric cooker, a microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Patio doors lead straight out on the terrace. Inside you have all you need to create a family feast and the perfect spot to enjoy it on the dining room table. From the kitchen a flight of stairs leads to a king size bedroom with additional pull out single bed and en suite shower room with toilet. Back in the hallway there are two more charming private staircases, one leading up to a double bedroom with a built in desk and the other to a king size room with additional pull out single bed. Outside you will find a huge shared garden and patio with seating to enjoy those beautiful views, and a grassed area all around. Go exploring in pine woods nearby and say hello over the wall to our friendly family of resident llamas. Please note the shared garden contains two ponds and the owner's outdoor swimming pool, all with deep water, please take care with children and animals. There is parking for four cars.
