Head to Westward Ho! Beach, a lovely stretch of sand where you can try your hand at a variety of watersports, paddle the shores or sunbathe during the warmer months, before stopping off at the Morans Thai Restaurant for a delicious dinner. A similar distance away is Appledore, home to more restaurants, pubs and shops and a little fishing boat ferry that heads across to Instow beach. Don’t forget to visit the amenities of Bideford, including the Art Gallery and Museum and the Railway Heritage Centre, so there really is plenty to do nearby!
