The market towns of Barnstaple and Bideford and the National Trust coastal footpaths toward and beyond Clovelly are all a short drive away, or jump aboard The Oldenburg to Lundy Island for the day. Instow is on an excellent bus route between Ilfracombe Appledore and Westward Ho!
