For a day by the sea there’s plenty of choice but why not start with Torquay, Paignton or Brixham? If you want to be a bit more active, you could head down to the River Dart and hire a canoe or kayak. There are plenty of walks and cycle paths in the surrounding area for you to enjoy.

This rural location has excellent access to local amenities and is close to the picturesque town of Totnes with its twice weekly market. After a day out exploring, you could walk into Stoke Gabriel and enjoy a meal at one of the four pubs and restaurants.
