It is situated within easy walking distance to Teignmouth mainline train station. Dating back to the 19th century, this attractive Georgian home exudes character and charm together creating the ultimate base for any family holiday or group celebration. Boasting 5 large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, two en-suite and two family bathrooms. Garden and Pool: The south facing sun terrace enjoys beautiful views over mature trees towards the sea. These is a large out door dining table with benches and chairs with an over table sun-parasol, perfect for alfresco dining. This wide open yet very private sun terrace is surrounded by mature shrubs, with a selection of outdoor sofas, chairs and coffee tables, all very stylish and very relaxing. Head to the solar heated outdoor pool with a mixture of sun loungers and chairs; kids get ready to splash and have lots of fun swimming. You must follow the pool safety rules in the guest welcome folder. Please note lower parts of the garden are not accessible and fenced off. Spend your days down by the bustling Grand Pier, before wandering the sandy shores of Teignmouth Beach and continuing along to the historical landmark of Teignmouth Lighthouse. Cross the river by boat taxi from the ‘Back Beach’ to the pretty seaside village of Shaldon where you can visit cafés and pubs or walk around the old village square. A ten-minute walk from Shaldon to the scenic Ness Cove Beach, adventure down an old smugglers’ tunnel with some steep steps down to this dog friendly beach. At low tide there are some very interesting rock pools ideal for beach combing. Alternatively embark on a breath-taking hike along the South West Coast Path and uncover the imposing cliff top of Lovers’ Ledge. There are many local beaches to visit, Watcombe Beach, others a little further away and highly recommended are Elbury Cove, Fishcombe Cove, Blackpool Sands and Slapton sands. A little over an hour’s drive and a full day out, head to the South Hams and visit the beautiful Mothecombe Bay. Over in Torquay, the Torre Abbey Museum and Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves offer fun for the whole family, whilst avid historians should be sure to stop by the Victorian Market Street in Bygones and the Torquay Museum. Teignmouth train station is 6 minutes walk from the house with trains to many local towns such as Totnes 15 mins, Exeter 25 mins, Newton Abbot 6 mins. Travel further inland to the Dartmoor National Park, home to an abundance of awe-inspiring hiking trails such as River Dart Country Park and Wistman's Wood, as well as many enchanting landmarks, such as Haytor all waiting to be explored.
