Axmouth village is chocolate-box pretty with thatched cottages, an attractive church, a charming harbour and a couple of traditional country pubs and is just a few minutes’ walk away. Lyme Regis is a short drive away and has a good selection of amenities as well as a museum, an aquarium and some great beaches. The market town of Axminster is also not far as is Seaton with its famous tramway taking you from Seaton to Colyton and well worth a trip. Other attractions worth checking out include Dinosaurland Fossil Museum, Tunnel Tree Tops high ropes and zip wire, Axe Valley Wildlife Park, Pecorama and Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens.
