This cottage is situated in the grounds of the owner s home on the outskirts of the historic harbour town of Bideford. The town, with its quaint cobbled streets, traditional pannier market, independent shops, and range of well regarded eateries, is a great place to enjoy a slice of authentic Devonshire life and is a fantastic base for exploring the surrounding area. The two mile wide beach at Westward Ho! is just three miles away, as is the pretty village beach at Instow. A ferry runs from Instow, taking passengers across the estuary to the neighbouring fishing village of Appledore, where visitors will find a number of bistros and a pretty quay where they can watch the fishermen return with the day s catch. This property is a 2minute drive from great SUP/Paddleboarding waters. This single storey property offers comfortable accommodation, which makes a fantastic base for a couple who want to enjoy a relaxing break in North Devon. The open plan living area, comprising of a lounge/kitchen/diner, is a light filled space where guests can forget about the stresses of everyday, sit back on the sofa, and enjoy the wood burner effect electric fire, Smart TV and DVD. A breakfast bar separates the lounge area from the kitchen, which is equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer. The property s one bedroom has a king size bed with an en suite shower room and WC. Outside, there is a shingled patio area with bench seating to the front of the property, whilst to the rear there is a well appointed garden, again, mostly shingled, which is home to the wonderfully relaxing hot tub, as well as garden furniture, and a BBQ which can also be used as a firepit and a pizza oven, making this a wonderful space in which to enjoy the tranquil surroundings and the views over the neighbouring countryside. To the left of the cottage a private woodland can be found with a short trail, perfect for a quick morning walk. Or for those longer walks Fords Wood nature reserve is located a short walk away.
